Phoenix Contact’s new M23 Hybrid circular connector allows you to transmit signals, data, and power safely using one connector. This compact, robust M23 design can handle currents up to 30 A and voltages up to 850 V DC or 630 V AC.
Besides a centrally located PE-protective conductor, the connector profile also features four power contacts and four signal contacts. With a diameter of 0.8 mm each, the four additional data contacts are designed for secure data transmission in accordance with CAT5 and can be replaced as needed with four signal contacts, each measuring 1 mm in diameter.
With the M23 Hybrid, you have up to eight signal contacts available. The IP65/67-compliant plug-in connectors are designed for temperatures ranging from -40 to +125°C. Straight and angled device connectors are available, with the angled version rotatable for optimum cable connections.

Good 'connector' needs no bush--Mill Max Brand Pogo pin introduction(1)

Our US based manufacturing is housed entirely in one location ensuring MAXIMUM reliability, service, and convenience.
Mill-Max is proud to announce a new addition to its spring-loaded pin selection with the introduction of the 0973-0-15-20-77-14-11-0. This new offering has a solder cup designed to accept up to 20 AWG wire, has a maximum stroke of .080" (2,03 mm) and can be used at a minimum spacing of .100" (2,54 mm).
The shoulder and barb features are located and designed to allow easy and reliable assembly into connector housings. The terminating wires may be passed through a connector housing and soldered to the cup of the 0973. Once the soldering is complete the wires can now draw the 0973 spring pins into the housing and the spring pins can be secured with the press-fit. With the pins securely pressed into the housing, the shoulder acts as a stop, retaining the pins in the event the cable or wires are strained. The shoulder will also prevent push out of the spring pin if the plunger end is over compressed. These design features make the 0973 ideal for cable and bulkhead style connector assemblies.
The 0973 spring pin has a working travel of .040" (1,02 mm) and a maximum mechanical travel of .080" (2,03 mm). There is a hard stop incorporated to prevent over compression and minimize the risk of damage to the spring. The high retention force press-fit of the solder cup to the body of the spring pin insures the reliability of the component during soldering and assembly operations.
Gold-plated brass components and beryllium copper springs ensure the highest conductivity, corrosion resistance and durability. The spring-loaded plunger is suitable for mating with gold- plated PCB pads or Mill-Max target pins and connectors. For wire termination target pins consider Mill-Max 3024-0-01-15-00-00-03-0 and for connectors, see the single row 330-10-1XX-00-240000 and double row 430-10-2XX-00-240000.

SAMTEC-SEARAY press-fit right-angle socket array provides increased design flexibility.
SAMTEC family of SEARAY Open Pin Field Arrays has expanded to include a right-angle socket with press-fit terminations for increased design flexibility and high retention. This socket is a high-density solution for micro backplane applications with Samtec’s Edge Rate contact system optimized for signal integrity.
Available in eight- and 10-row designs with up to 500 total I/Os on a .050″ (1.27mm) pitch grid, this SEARAY press-fit right-angle socket array (SEAFP-RA Series) delivers maximum grounding and routing flexibility, low insertion/extraction forces, and high cycle life. Optional guidepost holes aid in proper alignment when mating with SEARAY terminal arrays, which are also available in right-angle and press-fit terminations.

The Top Ten Connector Manufacturers
Bishop & Associates has tracked the connector industry since 1980, 34 years. In 1980, annual connector sales were $8.9 billion, growing to $55.4 billion in 2014. This is a 34 year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.5%. During this period, the ten largest connector companies achieved a CAGR of 6.7% which is significantly better than the overall industry.
Top Ten versus Industry
Since 1980, the top ten steadily have increased their share of the total market. In 1980, the top ten accounted for 38.0% of the industry. Today, the top ten accounts for 56.8% of world connector demand.

Logically, one would expect the ten largest companies to grow faster than the overall industry. After all, the largest companies have significant advantages over their smaller competitors.
More engineers
Larger sales and marketing organizations
More manufacturing plants located in all geographic regions
Greater financial resources
The results of these advantages is a broader product offering and a global presence with the ability to serve the world’s largest OEMs.
Certainly, some of the top ten market share growth can be attributed to size. However, the reality is most of the share growth is the result of acquisitions. For example:
TE Connectivity acquired Thomas & Betts connector business, Deutsch, SIBAS and numerous other companies.
Molex acquired Woodhead, FCT, Affinity Medical, Luxtera’s Merge Optics and others.(Molex was acquired by KOCH at 7.3Billion US$ in 2013).
Amphenol acquired Teradyne’s high speed connector business,LTW circular connectors business, FEP and a few dozen other companies. Amphenol recently announced that they will acquire FCI’s connector business at 1.275billion US$. This transaction is expected to close in December, 2015.
Delphi acquired FCI’s automotive interconnect business.
In total, we estimate that the top ten added over $4.0 billion in sales through acquisitions. Further we believe this is why the top ten achieved a 6.7% CAGR from 1980 to 2014 versus industry growth of 5.5%.
